Happy Holidays 2007

Hello Family & Friends,

It's been an eventful year for the Chaya Family in Lubbock, TX. Micah has turned into quite a mischievous butterball (gets that from Michelle). In addition, he is starting to fill out a little more and has quite a cute little belly (gets that from Craig).

Craig's enjoying ophthalmology residency and performed his first cataract surgery (yes, the patient is seeing great). Michelle started her first nurse practitioner job taking care of GI patients. We've been child swapping with our friends the Leocadio's on days off from work.

Michelle has enjoyed motherhood so much that she yearned for another baby. So after hog-tying and waterboarding Craig a few times, he finally consented to the Chaya expansion plan. Yup!! So Micah's got competition coming in April 2008 in the form of a little baby girl butterball.

Here are some highlights from the year:

• Micah turned 1 in Feb
• Remembered The Alamo in San Antonio with the Johnston's
• Took a few trips out to California to see Micah's 4 new cousins
• Michelle and friend AJ completed their first mini-triathlon
• Went to Lake Travis in Austin with the Johnston's, Amber, & Ryan
• Chaya expansion plan commenced
• Michelle and Micah went to Omaha, NE for cousin Josh's wedding
• Waterskied on Lake Meredith over Labor Day
• Witnessed hundreds of hot air balloons at Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, NM with the Benton's
• Michelle's parents (Oma & Opa) came to visit
• Craig's parents (Koonya & Koonpoo) came to visit
• House remodeling seems to follow us wherever we go
• Will be returning to Loma Linda for the Christmas Holiday

As they say, everything is bigger in Texas (including the houses) so anytime you are passing through please give us a call. We would love to have you. During this holiday season, remember the most important things in life are faith, family, and friendships. Hug your loved ones often, lend a helping hand to those in need, and share God's love with others. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
